SNOW DAY!

On Monday we received around 10" of snow and Ryan had school canceled. I stayed home with him and Jen joined us after a brief work day and we went snow tubing at Thompson Park. Ryan had a great time and it wasn't long before he was going down the hill by himself. As you can see from the attached video, he really enjoyed making snow angels too.

ANDREWS 5th BIRTHDAY

Jen, Ryan, Brett, and I joined Drew, Erika, Andrew, and Nicholas at Medieval Times this weekend to celebrate Andrews 5th birthday. Of course, the boys all loved the wooden swords Uncle Drew bought them, and they enjoyed the fact that our Knight (the Green Knight) was the evil one. It was a fun night and I think Andrew had a great birthday.

MONSTER JAM

The Makowsky's, Drew and Andrew, and us went to see Monster Jams at the Izod center over the weekend. All the boys loved the monster trucks and had a great time. This was my very first time at redneck event, lets just say I'll stick to hockey and football games.

JON AND TIM'S BIRTHDAY

Jon and I celebrated our 37 and 33rd birthdays at Benihana's with the family. The boys all enjoyed the chopsticks and the entertaining cook. The cook even shaped the rice into Mickey Mouse (this was a good test run for the 9 of us going out to eat in Disney in July).

INSECTROPOLIS

Grandpa, Ryan, and I went to Insectropolis in Toms River today, it is a really cool place where we enjoyed hands-on exhibits, live and dried insect displays, and a live presentation where we all got to touch a scorpion (see video below), tarantula, giant millipede, and a hissing cockroach (of course, Ryan had no fear).

NEW YEARS EVE

New Years Eve allowed all our siblings (except Bryan who had to work) to hang with all of the kids, 6 boys in total (it's hard to believe nobody volunteered to babysit). The kids played until about 10pm at which point Uncle Tim tried to get them all to sleep by reading them stories. Thomas was the only one who made it to midnight to ring in the new year with the adults.
