Ryan enjoyed a great day at school on his birthday followed by his favorite dinner, presents, and cake at home. The real fun was the day of his Zombie Party, I thank everyone for getting into the zombie spirit and truly making his birthday wishes come true. When I asked him what his favorite part of his party was, he responded "everyone being dressed up." Thanks again for helping this become a party to remember. Please enjoy all the pictures from the party in the slideshow in the margin.
Please enjoy our blog, a place for our family and friends to share in our lives, we try to keep it updated monthly.
Best Wishes,
The Novy Family

Bald Faced Hornet Nest
Here are some pictures of the bald faced hornet nest that overhangs our driveway about 15' high. It has grown in size quite rapidly, but thankfully it is high enough so they don't bother us and we have been co existing. It is in our neighbors tree and he is in the process of taking care of it.

WEEKEY BEATS THE ODDS!
Aunt Stef gave Ryan a caterpillar last week, Weekey (named by Ryan) barely survived the ride home in the pickle jar, then after hanging in his cocoon for just one day he fell to the bottom of the container. Luckily Tracey helped find us Weekey 2 (named by Ryan) and Weekey 1 was not given much thought.
Well, wouldn't you know to our surprise today Ryan came running in to Jen announcing Weekey was a butterfly! Weekey did indeed make his metamorphisis, and Ryan couldn't be happier.

SNOW DAY!
On Monday we received around 10" of snow and Ryan had school canceled. I stayed home with him and Jen joined us after a brief work day and we went snow tubing at Thompson Park. Ryan had a great time and it wasn't long before he was going down the hill by himself. As you can see from the attached video, he really enjoyed making snow angels too.
